The Appennine forests stretch from the altitude of 400 metres above the sea level to the altitude of 1.000 metres. They are typically covered by Chestnut trees, Castanea sativa Miller. Unlike men, who generally prefer as their fruits as their wood, Bees like, with particular pleasure, the nectar. The flowers open up between the end of May and half of June. Our Bee – Hives are located in the Chestnuts and Robinias forests situated in the Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio (National Park of Vesuvius).
